Credit \/ Getty Images                                                        <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Just one day after former President Joe Biden revealed he\u2019s battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt struck a tone that many online found jarring.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At a press briefing, Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy asked whether President Donald Trump was concerned about the quality of medical care available to U.S. presidents, given Biden\u2019s late-stage diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite House doctors may have missed the early stages of his prostate cancer,\u201d Doocy said. \u201cIs President Trump worried about the quality of care that presidents get here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/karoline-leavitt\/\">Leavitt<\/a>, 27, quickly dismissed the concern. \u201cNot as far as <a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">President Trump<\/a> is concerned,\u201d she replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe White House physician we have here is phenomenal,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd the team at Walter Reed Medical Center is excellent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leavitt went on to tout Trump\u2019s recent physical exam results. \u201cHe had perfect results. He\u2019s in very good shape. Another pointed out that Trump appeared to fall asleep multiple times during the trip Leavitt referenced.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy follows Biden\u2019s announcement that he has been <a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/news\/joe-biden-shares-first-words-since-cancer-bombshell\/\">diagnosed with a high-grade form of prostate cancer<\/a>. According to a statement from his office, he had recently undergone an evaluation after experiencing urinary symptoms. However, the cancer is said to be hormone-sensitive, which means it may respond well to treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s cancer has been assigned a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), one of the highest possible scores, indicating abnormal, fast-growing cells. While the exact stage of the cancer has not been made public, metastasis suggests it is at an advanced stage.<\/p>\n<p>He and his <a href=\"https:\/\/en.newsner.com\/tag\/family\/\">family<\/a> are currently weighing treatment options, which are likely to include hormone therapy.
