Karoline Leavitt blasted MSNBC\u2019s Nicolle Wallace over comments linking a teenage cancer survivor to the January 6 Capitol riot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his speech before Congress on Tuesday night, Donald Trump appointed 13-year-old Devarjaye \u2018DJ\u2019 Daniel \u2013 who was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018 \u2013 to be an honorary Secret Service agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the president\u2019s actions were quickly criticized as Wallace, 53, turned the sweet gesture into a negative by making a series of abysmal remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I hope he\u2019s alive for another 95 years and I hope he lives the life he wants to live,\u2019 the MSNBC host began. He wants to be a cop, he knows what he wants to do and maybe when you have childhood cancer that crystallizes for you,\u2019 she continued, before pivoting to the deadly Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer, but I hope he never has to defend the United States capitol against Donald Trump\u2019s supporters and if he does, I hope he isn\u2019t one of the six who loses his life to suicide,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the segment, Wallace also said she hopes Daniel doesn\u2019t have to \u2018testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then lives to see Donald Trump pardon those people.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MSNBC anchor\u2019s malicious statement was quickly slammed online soon after, including by the White House Press Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her Wednesday press briefing, Leavitt, 27, said Democratic politicians and mainstream media figures \u2018allowed their Trump Derangement Syndrome to stop them from celebrating America.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The White House official then targeted CNN, noting the cable channel called the president\u2019s speech \u2018divisive\u2019 on national television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018President Trump wasn\u2019t divisive. The Democrats were \u2013 and CNN was proven wrong by their own viewers, 69 percent of whom, in a post-speech poll said they had a positive reaction to the President\u2019s speech,\u2019 Leavitt said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just moments later, she held up a printed copy of a CBS News\/YouGov poll \u2013 which she claims was passed to her by the President \u2013 that showed 76 percent of Americans \u2018approved\u2019 of the speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wallace returned to the air on Wednesday but refused to address growing calls for her to be fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her segment, a remorseless Wallace continued bashing President Trump, while ignoring the harsh backlash she received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the 53-year-old anchor was not the only MSNBC host to criticize the president\u2019s speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Maddow, 51, said it was \u2018disgusting\u2019 that Trump honored Daniel while on Wednesday morning, \u2018Morning Joe\u2019 co-host Joe Scarborough said the speech was full of \u2018so much nonsense.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018For the record and this is disgusting, the president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who thus far has survived pediatric cancer, as if the president had something to do with that,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, even as the network nor Wallace have made any kind of statement about her off-color remarks, viewers are out for blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 13-year-old underwent 13 surgeries by the time he was 12 as he battles a rare brain and spine cancer with no cure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is trying to get sworn in to as many law enforcement agencies as possible as he and his family try to raise awareness about his condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of his 2018 diagnosis, he was told he would likely only live another five months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held up by his father for the touching Tuesday night moment, the cancer-stricken teen received his badge from Director Sean Curran while Republicans in the House gallery chanted his nickname, \u2018DJ.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
