Speculation about the US President\u2019s health persists as \u2018new marks\u2019 have reportedly appeared on his hand, despite the White House recently dismissing such concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 24, eagle-eyed viewers spotted what looked like a nasty yellow bruise on the president\u2019s right hand while he met the French President, Emmanuel Macron, in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viewers took to social media to query the suspicious bruise with many growing concerned that the 78-year-old had a health issue, requiring an IV drip or blood test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the marks were merely a result of the president\u2019s busy schedule and frequent handshaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, as of Monday (March 3), two new dark marks have reportedly appeared on the palm of his right hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While addressing a $100 billion investment in the U.S. by the world\u2019s largest chip manufacturer, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., from the White House, the president gestured with his hands<\/a>, revealing one mark near the heart line of his palm and another below the head line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The yellowed bruise on the back of his palm from last week was still visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leavitt said in a statement about the mysterious bruise: \u201cPresident Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHis commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She hammered home the point in a follow-up: \u201cPresident Trump has bruises on his hand because he\u2019s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some admitted they weren\u2019t convinced by the explanation. Meanwhile, others said they didn\u2019t think the bruise was anything American citizens should be worried about, given his age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s also not the first time Trump has had marks on his hands, reports the Metro, as the president gave a similar explanation when bruises were spotted on his outer right hand in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also had visible marks in August and November last year, the outlet added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the statement, one person on Twitter wrote: \u201cWhy even lie? It\u2019s obviously an IV bruise for blood testing or something. Is it a surprise to people that Trump is old and gets regular physician visits?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt looks like IV bruises,\u201d dozens of others said as many said they have similar marks after having their blood taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s in is 70s,\u201d wrote another. \u201cOlder people bruise easily. This isn\u2019t some huge conspiracy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fourth added: \u201cNot uncommon in elders. If he\u2019s on blood thinners that increases bruising. Could easily happen with a draw for labs or an IV or just hitting his hand accidentally on something.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others, however, pointed out the president does have a rather vigorous technique when it comes to shaking hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported in the Washington Post in 2017, Peter W Stevenson documented several \u2018intense\u2019 handshakes with world leaders and US officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
