Fox News personality Kat Timpf thanked fans for their support after she announced Tuesday that she\u2019s been diagnosed with breast cancer \u2014 and assured her supporters that she\u2019s getting the \u201cbest medical advice\u201d possible.<\/p>\n

Timpf took to social media on Friday to address those who were shocked by her double-barreled bit of health news earlier this week \u2014 announcing the birth of her first child and her \u201cStage 0\u201d\u00a0cancer diagnosis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for all the support. Its meant so much to me, this is obviously a really crazy difficult unexpected time and I really do appreciate it,\u201d Timpf said in a selfie video\u00a0posted onto X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Fox host relayed that many worried watchers reached out with questions after she revealed Tuesday that doctors said her \u201cbest course of action would likely be a double mastectomy as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTrust me, there\u2019s no one for whom [a double mastectomy] seems more extreme than me,\u201d Timpf explained in her Friday update.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t take cutting my t\u2013s off lightly,\u201d Timpf said, adding, \u201cAs a general rule I don\u2019t think any woman does. I find it devastating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Timpf then said that she consulted with her team of medical professionals who came up with a treatment plan that worked for her, and that she is getting the \u201cbest medical advice\u201d possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery case of breast cancer is very different. There are a lot of details of mine that I haven\u2019t shared,\u201d she said. \u201cTrust that I\u2019m making the best decision for me and my family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cGutfeld!\u201d regular stressed that the most important thing for her is to be able to take care of her newborn son.<\/p>\n

Timpf was dramatically diagnosed with breast cancer just 15-hours before giving birth to her son \u2014 though she took the news in stride, even finding a place for humor.<\/p>\n
