Megyn Kelly has sensationally claimed she was injured by the Pfizer Covid vaccine.<\/p>\n
On the latest\u00a0episode of her podcast, the conservative commentator said\u00a0she developed an \u2018unspecified autoimmune condition\u2019 after getting two shots and a booster.<\/p>\n
She told Dr Aseem Malhotra, a cardiologist with ties to RFK Jr, that doctors were unable to determine which specific disorder she has, but that they said it could be linked to the vaccine.<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old told an audibly shocked Dr Malhotra: \u2018I asked the rheumatologist if it could be linked to the Pfizer vaccine and booster, and she said \u201cYes, and you\u2019re not the only patient I have who\u2019s had this sequence of events.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018I wish I hadn\u2019t done it [gotten vaccinated], but I did.\u2019\u00a0Kelly also revealed that thinking the Covid vaccine was safe was \u2018the number one thing I\u2019ve been wrong about.\u2019<\/p>\n
The CDC still recommends the vaccines for children and adults, saying the protection against Covid still outweighs the tiny risk of side effects.<\/p>\n
It comes after a\u00a0bombshell Yale University study\u00a0found\u00a0mRNA Covid vaccines are linked to a previously unknown condition called \u2018post-vaccination syndrome\u2019 (PVS).<\/p>\n
The small study found patients with PVS showed distinct biological changes to their immune systems. But the Yale experts\u00a0told DailyMail.com\u00a0that the results are \u2018still a work in progress,\u2019 and it\u2019s unclear how common PVS is.<\/p>\n

Experts estimate the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines have saved millions of lives globally, including 3million in the US.<\/p>\n
The risk of severe side effects is estimated to be around one in 50,000<\/p>\n
\u00a0Covid is still killing about 300 Americans every week, CDC data shows.<\/p>\n
Kelly did not specify her symptoms or the impact the diagnosis has had on her.<\/p>\n
But the most common symptoms linked to the newly-identified PVS are brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus, heart palpitations and exercise intolerance, a feeling of exhaustion after limited exercise.<\/p>\n
In these rare cases, the vaccine also appears to awaken a dormant virus known as Epstein\u2013Barr and interfere with people\u2019s immune systems in complicated ways still being studied.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, people with PVS had high levels of coronavirus spike proteins in their blood, years after taking the shot, which could leave their bodies in a permanent state of inflammation.<\/p>\n
Dr Malhotra \u2013 who has been accused of spreading misinformation for\u00a0his claim that the Covid vaccine has killed scores of young people\u00a0\u2013 told DailyMail.com following the interview: \u2018The fact that one of the United States\u2019 most popular public figures only just opened up about being vaccine-injured, feeling safe to discuss it with a doctor who understands the situation, suggests that many, perhaps millions of Americans are suffering in silence.\u2019<\/p>\n
Dr Malhotra revealed that\u00a0he believes his autoimmune condition was also caused by the Pfizer vaccine.<\/p>\n
About two-and-a-half years after getting his second dose, Dr Malhotra was diagnosed with psoriasis, which causes red, scaly patches to form on the skin.<\/p>\n
The condition, suffered by 7million Americans, is thought to be caused by an immune overreaction, resulting in an overgrowth of skin cells.<\/p>\n
Psoriasis causes Dr Malhotra\u2019s to break out into lumpy, itchy rashes, and he needs to regularly apply antibiotic ointments to keep it from flaring.<\/p>\n

Dr Malhotra sought medical help from gastroenterologist Dr Sabine Hazan, whose research suggests Covid vaccines strip the body of the healthy bacterium Bifidobacterium.<\/p>\n
Bifidobacterium is thought to boost immune cell production.<\/p>\n
Dr Malhotra told DailyMail.com: \u2018She did a microbiome test on me and discovered I had zero Bifidobacterium, one of the most important gut bacteria for health.\u2019<\/p>\n
However, while some\u00a0case reports\u00a0have detailed cases of psoriasis occurring after Covid vaccination, research is mixed, and the condition has never directly been linked to vaccines.<\/p>\n
Research on vaccine side effects is still emerging, and CDC still recommends Covid vaccines and boosters, especially for those who are elderly or immunocompromised, as they could be more vulnerable to the disease.<\/p>\n
Only two long-term side effects have been directly linked to the Covid vaccine: anaphylaxis and two types of heart damage called myocarditis and pericarditis.<\/p>\n
In myocarditis, it\u2019s thought that the immune system may register mRNA in Covid vaccines as a threat, leading the immune system to attack itself and cause inflammation of the myocardium, the heart\u2019s muscle.<\/p>\n
This same mechanism has been linked to pericarditis, which leads to inflammation of the pericardium, the sac surrounding the heart.<\/p>\n
Both conditions have been linked to viruses like the common cold and hepatitis, as well as Covid.<\/p>\n
While most cases are mild, in rare instances, the conditions can damage the heart and make it difficult for it to pump blood, eventually leading to heart failure, heart attack, and stroke.<\/p>\n
In the US, myocarditis and pericarditis are rare, with estimates ranging from one in 50,000 to one in 200,000 Americans.<\/p>\n
Federal data also shows the risk of myocarditis from Covid itself was far higher than that from a vaccine, so experts continued to recommend the vaccines.<\/p>\n
Autoimmune diseases have also been linked more consistently to long Covid than the vaccine, so if a person has had Covid, it can be difficult to determine if their side effects were from the virus or the vaccine.<\/p>\n
