You\u2019re coming with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The young man shook his head.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIf I leave,\u201d he said, \u201cit follows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThen we contain it,\u201d Dario said, though he didn\u2019t believe it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A pause.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Then the young man said something that made the room feel smaller:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cYou can\u2019t contain something that learned your name from inside you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The lights flickered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Even though there were no working lights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The flashlight in Dario\u2019s hand dimmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Not dying.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Being forgotten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The young man\u2019s body began to look less solid. Not disappearing exactly\u2014but losing agreement with reality.
