The explosive discovery is now a key focus in the FBI\u2019s high-priority investigation<\/strong> into what officials are calling a \u201ctargeted\u201d \u201cpolitical <\/strong>assassination.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

On September 10, Charlie Kirk<\/a>, the 31-year-old conservative<\/a> activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was gunned<\/a> down during the opening stop of his \u201cAmerican Comeback Tour,\u201d held at Utah Valley University \u2013 a nationwide campus tour aimed at promoting conservative values.<\/p>\n

The session, the Desert News<\/a> reports, had drawn heavy attention and controversy, with thousands signing an online petition to block the event. But the university defended its decision just days earlier, citing First Amendment protections and a commitment to \u201cfree speech, intellectual inquiry, and constructive dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Around 12:20 p.m., Kirk was killed by a single bullet during an outdoor \u201cProve Me Wrong\u201d session \u2013 an open mic debate event where students were invited to challenge the right-wing activists\u2019 political and cultural views.<\/p>\n

Moments before the gunshot, the father of two was fielding a provocative question from a student.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know many transgender Americans have been shooters over the last 10 years?\u201d the individual asked.<\/p>\n

The influential MAGA supporter responded confidently, \u201cToo many,\u201d as the 3,000-strong crowd erupted in applause.<\/p>\n

When the same person insisted the number was five and asked about total mass shooters over the past decade, Kirk replied, \u201cCounting or not counting gang violence?\u201d These were his final words, according to Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n
