Don Jr’s ex Kimberly Guilfoyle gets a kiss from Trump as she makes triumphant return to the White House
Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle made a triumphant return to the White House Monday – to mark Greek Independence Day.
In December, the president-elect announced that he had chosen Guilfoyle, 56, to serve as his ambassador to Greece.
It coincided with DailyMail.com’s exclusive report that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle had called off their years long engagement, as the Trump heir romanced Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson.
Guilfoyle has yet to receive Senate confirmation for the ambassadorship, which would send her across the Atlantic to Athens.
But the president touted her love for Greece and his love for her as a person as he pulled her onstage Monday afternoon.
‘Also with us in person, a person that really is a great friend and been a great friend for a long time,’ Trump said. ‘I’ve known this woman – although she’s very young, yet – I’ve known her for a long time.’
‘She came here and she loves our country and she loves Greece and now she’s going to be the future ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Kimberly Guilfoyle,’ the president said to cheers. ‘And I’m going to say Kimberly, come on up and say a few words. Kimberly, come – she’s really a good person.’
‘She represents the Greek culture very well,’ Trump said of Guilfoyle, who is of Puerto Rican and Irish heritage. ‘I will tell you, she’s very proud of it.’

Kimberly Guilfoyle concluded her remarks by outstretching her arms, a move reminiscent of her viral 2020 Republican National Convention speech. She was tapped in December to be Trump’s ambassador to Greece after her break-up was made public by DailyMail.com
Trump greeted his son’s ex-fiancée with an air-kiss and a hug as she came to the podium in the White House’s East Room.
‘I tell you, this is the honor and privilege of a lifetime to serve this country and to serve a country that I love so much, that is so near and dear to my heart, with Greece and to do it under the guidance, the leadership, of the most important, powerful president that this country has ever seen,’ said Guilfoyle, who was previously married to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
She then called Trump a ‘man of integrity.’
‘I know the measure of the man and his character and his strength, and I know his love for the people of Greece, the birthplace of democracy,’ she continued.
She said under Trump people would ‘sleep well at night and wake up in the morning feeling hopeful and optimistic for a man that will fight for the economy of this country and of Greece, for religious liberty and freedom and for the enduring alliance of Greece and the United States.’
Guilfoyle made a Catholic cross over her face and then raised her arms in a way that was reminiscent of her viral 2020 Republican National Convention speech in which she dramatically pledged that the ‘best is yet to come.’
Her speech prompted cries of ‘four more years’ from the crowd – despite the fact that Trump is constitutionally limited to serving only two terms.
Trump hasn’t had trouble getting even his most inexperienced nominees across the line, and both parties traditionally use ambassadorships as a way to reward political allies.

Besides Guilfoyle, Trump also invited Alek Skarlatos to speak.
Skarlatos is a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives but was one of the heroes of the 2015 Thalys train attack.
‘Alek and his friends were on a train from Amsterdam to Paris when a bloodthirsty radical Islamic terrorist began shooting innocent people all over the train,’ Trump recalled. ‘In an act of tremendous valor, Alek and his comrades charged the gunman despite being completely unarmed and beat him into submission.’
Skarlatos recalled how during his last trip to the White House, Trump screened Clint Eastwood’s The 15:17 to Paris, which allowed Skarlatos to reenact his role but this time as an actor.
‘And I honestly was surprised because I thought the president would watch about 10 minutes and leave and he stayed for the whole movie, which I was very impressed by because we played ourselves in the movie and acting wasn’t the best, but it was a very accurate movie,’ Skarlatos said.
‘And the best part was when it came to the part where we were beating up the terrorists, the president hit me on the shoulder and was like, “right on,”‘ he remembered, prompting cheers from the audience. ‘That was one of the top-tier memories for me. So I just wanted to say thanks so much, great to see you again.’
